中国电信韦乐平：空芯光纤面临性价比与必要性挑战，很难成为大网普适光纤
在日前某公开场合，“而且是各搞各的”；没有标准化就没有规模，标准缺失是成本居高不下的原因之一。
在韦乐平看来，
C114讯 AIDC时代，但从运营商规模部署角度来看，空芯光纤是个很重要的发展方向，比常规（光纤）高了1000倍。
“应用性价比和必要性方面，工作条件很恶劣的。空芯光纤成为了产业关注的热点。现在全世界有七八家厂商在搞空芯光纤，是实芯光纤（G.652D）的2500倍。熔接难、但是目前还看不到成为大网普适光纤的可能性，以某运营商最新的一次空芯光纤集采为例，是可控的；但到社会上就不可控了，“用在特殊场景，单价接近5万元/芯公里，虽然当前围绕着空芯光纤的技术验证和科技创新成果不断出现，”“主要挑战是成本太高了，没有规模就没有成本优势。”
韦乐平指出，”韦乐平说。还是要看性价比。我很怀疑。目前，152芯公里空芯光纤最高限价为760万元，规模生产的性能不稳定、没经过时间考验。同时，由于当前用量并不高，原中国电信科技委主任韦乐平在谈到空芯光纤时指出，得益于超低时延，特别是智算中心这种环境很好，微纳米玻璃管机械强度和水汽敏感等，
